The Planning and Zoning Commission will conduct a public hearing on the final draft of the Comprehensive Plan on Tuesday, March 23rd, 2010 at 7:00pm at the Maces Lane Middle School, 110 Maces Lane, Cambridge, Maryland.
The Comprehensive Plan documents can be viewed from the Departments web pages under 'Planning & Zoning' or will be available at the following locations:

INVITATION TO BID
Bucktown Road Water and Sewer Main Extension & Technology Park Sewage Pumping Station
Sealed proposals for the Bucktown Road Water and Sewer Main Extension and Technology Park Sewage Pumping Station project will be received at the office of Andrews, Miller & Associates, 401 Academy Street, Suite 1, Cambridge, Maryland 21613 until 2:00 p.m. prevailing time on Wednesday, April 7, 2010. At 2:15 p.m. the same day, the proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud at the City of Cambridge Council Chambers, 305 Gay Street.
Work includes extension of a 16" diameter water main from MD Rt. 16 near US Rt. 50, through the Oak Hill Area, along Bucktown Road to the future Technology Park (to Cordtown Road intersection); furnish and install 8" diameter sewage force main from Cordtown Road, along Bucktown Road, crossing US Rt. 50 and MD Rt. 750 to the existing Jacktown/Lovejoy sewage pumping station located on Tates Bank Road; furnish and install the Technology Park Sewage Pumping Station on Cordtown Road and furnish and install an 8" diameter gravity sewage collection system along the airport property with all the appurtenant roadway and restoration improvements as indicated on the Plans and in accordance with the Bid Documents.
The contract documents may be examined at the offices of the City of Cambridge Department of Public Works or Andrews, Miller & Associates, 401 Academy Street, Suite 1, Cambridge, Maryland 21613. Documents can be purchased at Andrews, Miller & Associates for two hundred dollars ($200.00) plus shipping, if applicable; for each set, non-refundable.
A pre-bid meeting will be held for this project at the City of Cambridge Council Chambers, 305 Gay Street at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 18, 2010. All prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to attend.
The successful bidder must agree to complete the work within one-hundred-and-twenty (180) calendar days within the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.
The project will be funded in part by the United States Department of Agriculture, Rural Development, The U.S. Department of Commerce - Economic Development Administration (EDA) and the project will be subject to the Davis Bacon Wage Rates included in the Contract Documents.
Small Business and Minority-Owned Businesses are encouraged to respond and Contractors are required to provide a good faith effort in seeking such subcontractors or vendors.
Each proposal must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the required form, certified check, bank cashier's check, or other security acceptable, to the Owner in the amount of ten-percent (10%) of the total amount of the Base Bid. Bids will be effective for ninety (90) calendar days from the Bid opening date and may not be withdrawn during this period.
This project is subject to the Federal Occupational Safety & Health Act of 1970 (OSHA) and to non-discrimination in Employment Compliance Regulations conditions.
The City of Cambridge reserves the right and the option to waive any informalities, irregularities, defects, errors or omissions in any or all of Bids and to accept or reject any or all parts of the Bids which in its judgment is in the best interest of the City.
