Elected for his second term as the First Ward Commissioner in 2008, Mr. Knox currently serves as the Council Liaison for the Department of Public Works. He has also served as the liaison for other city committees including the Historical Preservation Commission, Planning & Zoning, and Traffic & Safety Committee.

As a business man with 30 years experience in the manufacturing industry, Mr. Knox owned a unique business that was one of the last remaining slack cooperages in the United States. He became interested in local government for the purpose of giving a voice to the neighbors living in this community to effect a positive change for all. When asked why he chooses to serve as a City Commissioner, he speaks from the heart when saying he cares about the community and the people who live here.

Mr. Knox served in the United States Army and is a member of the Cambridge Lions Club, American Legion Post 91, VFW Post 7460, Life Member D.A.V, MD Forest Association., MD Seafood Association, and Dorchester County Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Knox and his wife have been married for 20 years and have two children.
